Colonna di San Teodoro
Colonna di San Teodoro stojí v benátskej Piazzette pri námestí Piazza San Marco, vedľa svojho dvojčaťa. Vysoký kamenný stĺp korunuje socha svätého Teodora Tirona. Svätý Teodor bol patrónom Benátok ešte predtým, než túto úlohu prevzal svätý Marek. Z vrcholu sa pozerá bojovník s kopijou a krokodílom pri nohách, ktorý pripomína príbeh o porazení draka.
Oba stĺpy pravdepodobne vznikli v rokoch 1172 až 1177 za dóžu Sebastiana Zianiho, hoci iná teória uvádza rok 1268. Práca sa zvyčajne pripisuje Nicolòovi Barattierimu. Stĺpy po stáročia označovali príchod do Benátok z vody a sprevádzali trhy, oslavy aj verejné zhromaždenia. Staré obrazy a kresby, najmä od Canalettta, často zachytávajú túto kamennú dvojicu pri benátskom nábreží.
