St. Konrad
St. Konrad is a Catholic parish church in Burlafingen, a district of Neu-Ulm, Germany. You see a rectangular hall church with a gabled roof and a freestanding bell tower, shaped by mid-twentieth-century architecture. The building is wheelchair accessible.
Planned during the 1950s, the church reached its topping-out ceremony on 1 October 1958 and was consecrated on 12 November 1960. Its altar holds relics of Saint Christina and the martyr Saint Manno, while a mosaic covers the altar’s rear wall. Hubert Sandtner built the three-manual organ, inaugurated in 1970 as his Opus 8 with 23 registers.
The bells arrived from the Rudolf Perner foundry in Passau and were first rung on Christmas Eve 1960. Their tuning follows the Salve Regina motif.
