Peter-Biebl-Park
Peter-Biebl-Park sits at the centre of Wiley Süd, a residential quarter in Neu-Ulm, Germany. Several playgrounds, winding footpaths and large trees shape this neighbourhood green space. Benches, sun loungers and a seating wall offer places for snacks, quiet pauses and watching the surroundings. The southern edge rises into a viewing hill, giving the area a clear landmark and broader views.
At the summit, a wind sculpture reaches about seven metres and moves with the air. The sculpture Transfiguration, created by Andreas Komotzki, brings public art into the leafy setting. Dr Peter Biebl served as Neu-Ulm’s mayor from 1977 to 1995 and helped develop Wiley Süd. This local connection gives the green space a tangible link to the neighbourhood’s history. Around the playgrounds and shaded paths, activity and relaxation share the same compact setting.
