Oratorio di San Ludovico
Oratorio di San Ludovico je malý kostol v Benátkach, ktorého dejiny siahajú do šestnásteho storočia. Jeho jednoduchší vzhľad odlišuje stavbu od veľkolepejších benátskych kostolov. Pôvodne patril k zariadeniu, ktoré poskytovalo domov dvanástim starším mužom bez manželiek a detí. Takéto dobročinné inštitúcie vtedajšie Benátky vytvárali na podporu ľudí bez rodinného zázemia.
Od roku 1996 priestor spravuje združenie Nuova Icona a využíva ho na výstavy a kultúrne podujatia. Historické steny tak hostia súčasné umenie, videá, performancie aj experimentálne inštalácie. Počas Benátskeho bienále sa tu konali projekty umelcov Nástia Mosquita a Jinny Yu. Yu spojila obrazové umenie so zvukom a otvorila témy migrácie a ľudskej skúsenosti.
V roku 2017 tu dobrovoľníci čítali z dvoch zväzkov diela One Million Years (Reading) od Ona Kawaru. Zväzky uvádzali dátumy jeden milión rokov do minulosti aj jeden milión rokov do budúcnosti. Čítanie venované všetkým, ktorí žili a zomreli, využilo ticho a zhromažďovanie späté s pôvodnou funkciou priestoru. Oratórium zároveň leží na umeleckej trase San Trovaso–Zattere–IUAV v benátskej štvrti Dorsoduro.
