Dreifaltigkeitskapelle
Dreifaltigkeitskapelle stands at Rieden’s eastern entrance, beside the parish church of St Mauritius and the cemetery. This small chapel marks Rieden’s eastern village boundary. Above the doorway, the Roman inscription MDCCIII records the year when construction of the prayer house was completed. The chapel received its formal consecration in 1711. Its position beside St Mauritius and Companions connects this compact building with the same small parish community. Summer weekdays bring services into the chapel. The building therefore carries both an early eighteenth-century date and a continuing role as a place of prayer. Its stone doorway makes that history visible to visitors. At the village edge, the chapel offers a modest architectural landmark for people arriving from the eastern approach. The neighbouring village cemetery lies directly beside it. Together, the inscription, the chapel, and its setting show how a small historic structure remains part of local worship. The parish church of St Mauritius stands immediately alongside the chapel.
