Galerie Wiedmann
Galerie Wiedmann is an art gallery in Stuttgart, rooted in a space Willy Wiedmann opened in 1964 as Galerie am Jakobsbrunnen. You find a cultural venue shaped by painting, music and changing artistic movements.
Wiedmann trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and studied music at the Technical College of Music in Stuttgart. He created 150 opus works, composed for the Württemberg State Theater and German radio stations, and developed his polycon style in the mid-1960s. The gallery showed works by Salvador Dalí and promoted the Vienna Secession and Neoclassicism, while Wiedmann later opened further galleries, including one in New York.
The most striking detail is the Wiedmann Bible: 3,333 consecutive images presenting the entire Old and New Testament in polycon style.
