Estación de Autobuses Plaza de Armas stands in Seville as a central bus station serving journeys across Spain and beyond. Since 1992, its building has formed part of the city’s daily movement between neighbourhoods, provinces, countries, and the airport. Around 1,500 buses from about twenty companies arrive or depart there on an average day.

Olive-coloured metropolitan buses connect the western Aljarafe area with Seville through roughly thirty lines. TUSSAM city buses stop outside, while provincial and Andalusian routes reach Almería, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga, and the Sierra Norte. Longer-distance services continue to Madrid, Valencia, Catalonia, Galicia, and other Spanish regions, with international routes extending to France, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, and Morocco. The Airport Express also links the station with Seville Airport in about thirty-five minutes.

The site began as a railway station and once received travellers arriving along the river. Today, a shopping centre and restaurants surround this meeting point near the heart of Seville. A planned extension of Metro line two would add underground connections to its already broad transport network.
