Schloßpark Golm

Schloßpark Golm is a historical site in Potsdam, positioned near the Große Zernsee and surrounded by a quiet landscape. The park offers picturesque views beside the water.

Several buildings and a charming ruin stand alongside a gourmet restaurant that uses regional and seasonal ingredients. The estate also welcomes film shoots and romantic events.

Marlene Dietrich, Marika Rökk, and Harry Piel visited this retreat after their film work in Babelsberg. Their presence connects Golm with German film history.

Actress Niuta von Bottlenberg created the estate in the early twentieth century with aviation pioneer Frank von Eckelmann. He established an aircraft factory on nearby land.

That industrial site later produced railway wagons, while the estate became a health resort for notable film-industry guests. The grounds later housed a children’s recreation home.

Cora von Bottlenberg purchased the property in the 1990s and renovated it as a hotel and event venue. Paths cross the Golmer Luch nature reserve.

Walking and cycling routes extend through the surrounding landscape, linking the park with the wider Potsdam area. Berlin also lies close to this historic setting.
