Dorfkirche Marquardt
Dorfkirche Marquardt stands in Potsdam’s Marquardt district as a protected evangelical church built from unplastered brick. Its neo-Romanesque design dates from 1900 and 1901.
Adolf Stegmüller, an architect from Berlin, replaced an earlier building with a cross-shaped plan. The nave, northern transept and three-sided choir meet beneath a southern tower. Original furnishings remain inside, including an organ above the entrance gallery. The Dinse brothers built it in 1901 with ten stops, two manuals and one pedal.
Beneath the building, the Ravené family crypt contains four zinc sarcophagi. Louis Auguste Ravené, Martha, Enno and Heinz von Bardeleben rest there, while two plaques honour additional relatives. The sarcophagi were restored in 2005.
