Le Trianon
Le Trianon stands at the foot of Montmartre in Paris as a theatre and concert hall with a grand entrance. Its rooms include a ballroom and a winter garden.
Édouard Jean Niermans designed the original café-concert, which opened in 1894 and soon became one of Paris’s first music halls. Mistinguett made her debut there. A fire in 1900 left only the façade standing, so Joseph Cassian Bernard built a new Italian-style theatre in 1902. The auditorium held 1,000 seats. By 1939, the building had become the Cinéphone Rochechouart cinema, which remained popular until the mid-1980s.
After closing for a period, the venue returned to live performances, including plays, classical music and contemporary concerts. Napoleon III and Beaux-Arts details shape the architecture you see. The Italian-style theatre preserves a clear link between Parisian music halls, cinema and live performance.
