Sportpark Wiley
Sportpark Wiley in Neu-Ulm combines sports facilities, green spaces and leisure activities. You find an outdoor fitness parcours with seven stations for strength, balance, flexibility and cardiovascular training. Each station provides exercise instructions, while a barcode offers access to training videos through an app.
A natural-grass stadium accommodates 3,000 people and supports football, handball and other sports. The surrounding design places these facilities within open green areas, while concerts and other events bring additional activity to the park. The site became civilian land after the American garrison left Neu-Ulm in 1991, and the 2008 State Horticultural Show helped shape much of today’s greenery.
One detail connects the park’s present with its past: the former military grounds were once divided by Europastraße, with a dedicated bridge maintaining the internal connection.
