Kollmannspark
Kollmannspark is a public park in Neu-Ulm, covering 6,500 square metres beside the Glacis-Anlagen. Lawns, century-old deciduous trees, and open shaded areas shape a green space connected to former Bundesfestung Ulm fortifications.
Created in 1910 to honour mayor Josef Kollmann, the park later became overgrown after the Second World War and was revitalised between 1994 and 1996. The protected Neu-Ulm Water Tower recalls the city’s early modernisation, while an annual family festival has brought residents together here since 1997.
Two marked trees add a small detail with a long memory: students planted a Schiller linden and Schiller beech on 9 May 1905. Stones at their bases preserve that moment among the park’s paths and lawns.
