Parco Alessandrina Ravizza
Parco Alessandrina Ravizza occupies 62,900 square metres in Milan, where greenery interrupts the city’s busy urban setting. Maples, pines, oaks and plane trees provide shade.
Created in 1905 on former agricultural land, the park became a place for rest and recreation. Its original layout joined two garden traditions. The formal all’italiana style stood beside the picturesque all’inglese style, though urban development has softened those distinctions. Alessandrina Massini Ravizza was a philanthropist known for progressive work supporting disadvantaged people.
Bocconi University students, families and local residents use the grounds, which include playgrounds, workout areas and designated zones for dogs. You can walk or cycle beneath the trees. The shade of four distinct tree types gives this urban park its most recognisable character.
