Giardino delle Crocerossine

Giardino delle Crocerossine is a green space in Milan’s Lorenteggio district, within Municipio Six’s network of connected gardens. Created in 2005, the park links with the nearby Alberto Moravia and Gonin Giordani gardens. Its young trees include red and curly maple, catalpa, cherry, flowering apple, mulberry and liquidambar.

Black walnut, red oak, wild lime and sophora add further variety among the planting. Along Via dello Storno, Turkish hazel grows beside clusters of pampas grass. At the centre, perpendicular squares form a distinctive resting area that reflects the garden’s dedication.

A playground, synthetic-grass bocce courts and a small dog area give the grounds practical uses. Cinemarmocchi, Milan’s first cinema for children and teenagers, also has its home here. The most memorable view combines the central geometric seating with young trees and pampas grass.
