St. Joseph
St. Joseph is a Catholic parish church in Memmingen, standing just outside the walls of the old town. Its position places a twentieth-century landmark beside the town’s historic centre.
Built between 1927 and 1929, the church became the first church erected in Memmingen since the Reformation. Its construction reflects the renewal of the Catholic community during the early twentieth century, while its architecture remains part of the city’s religious and cultural heritage.
The building stretches 100 metres, a striking detail to notice from this church outside the old walls.
