Konzerthalle am Kieler Schloss
Konzerthalle am Kieler Schloss brings live music into Kiel Castle, a Renaissance brick building in Kiel’s Altstadt. The hall forms part of Kiel’s cultural heritage monuments. Built in 1963, it occupies a historic setting where contemporary performances meet the castle’s older architectural character.
Musicians perform a variety of concerts inside the larger castle complex. Schlossgarten and other historic features extend around the venue, giving you architectural details beyond the concert hall itself. BBP Architekten BDA in Kiel oversaw its design and construction.
The site brings together brick Renaissance architecture, a twentieth-century concert hall, and Kiel’s cultural life. Past and present meet within one castle complex.
