Haus Klatte

Haus Klatte stands in Riensberg, within Bremen’s Schwachhausen district, as a residential and summer house. Its Swiss-style design belongs to Bremen’s historicist architecture. Built for Anna Klatte, the house combines a single-storey body with a prominent two-storey gabled central projection. Overhanging gabled roofs frame the house’s central loggia. When built, Haus Klatte stood near the edge of a more rural Schwachhausen settlement. Behind Haus Klatte, a three-storey residential building from 2013 stands beside the protected historic house. Nearby, Villa Klatte stands along Hollerallee under the same family name. Together, these buildings show Schwachhausen’s changing residential architecture.
