บางกอกฟุตซอลอารีนา
Bangkok Futsal Arena stands in Nong Chok District, Bangkok, as an indoor venue built for sport and public events. Its five-level amphitheatre holds up to 12,000 spectators.
The building was planned for the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup, but Thailand’s 2011 floods delayed construction. It opened in 2015 for the AFF Futsal Championship. Futsal, basketball, volleyball and concerts all fit beneath its 34-metre-high roof. A ten-rai footprint provides approximately 30,000 square metres of usable space.
Steel cable rods support the roof, which weighs about 3,000 tonnes above the arena floor. Traditional Thai Kranok patterns shape the pillars and roof framing, giving the structure a distinct local character. King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi designed the venue through a project costing more than one billion baht.
